The Witcher Season 3 (Partly) Available on June 29

Today it was announced that the third season of The Witcher will premiere on June 29th. Netflix will then release the first five episodes, with the last three episodes to be released on July 27th. This is similar to how the fourth season of Stranger Things was divided. Bloody annoying.

We will be able to enjoy 8 more episodes of Henry Cavill‘s Geralt of Rivia before he hangs up his swords. As previously announced, Liam Hemsworth will take on the role starting in season 4. Many fans have already expressed that season 3 will be their last. I am also somewhat skeptical, because Henry Cavill seemed born for the role and was undoubtedly one of the highlights of this series. Additionally, the top actor is a huge fan of The Witcher, which made this news come as a complete shock.

Rumors suggest that Henry Cavill was unhappy with the writers deviating too much from the source material. As a fan, this would have bothered him deeply. In a few months, we will find out if season 3 was the straw that broke the wolf camel’s back.

But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. First, let’s enjoy one more season of Henry’s growling. As a warm-up, you can already see the White Wolf and his friends in action in the teaser below:
