Resident Evil 4 demo on its way

Earlier today, Twitch users were pleasantly surprised by an advertisement for the upcoming Resident Evil 4 remake. The survival horror game will be released on March 23rd, but it seems that players will already be reunited with Leon Kennedy tonight. The advertisement, which was spotted by Twitter users @Jbootyful and @DanisabeastXD among others, concluded with the words “Demo available now.”

The advertisement was quickly removed and appears to have went out by accident. Not entirely coincidentally, developer Capcom is holding a Showcase tonight. I was almost about to call in Sherlock Holmes, but after much thought I was able to put two and two together. It wouldn’t be the first time that Capcom makes a demo available right after a presentation. Therefore, it seems safe to say that players can probably start blasting their first zombies tonight.

The original Resident Evil 4 launched in 2005 for the good, old GameCube. The remake will be released for Playstation 4, Playstation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Windows.

At the beginning of February, Game Informer posted gameplay footage on Youtube. This turned out to be the calm before the storm because not much later, complaints poured in like rain about..the rain. The quality of the drips, as well as the amount of it, worried fans. While this was rain on Capcom’s parade, they promised to address this with a day one patch. Fans can rest assured, it turned out to be nothing more than a drop in the bucket.
