Today is a beautiful day, because I can finally share news about Grand Theft Auto VI. Like many, Rockstar’s game is one of my absolute favorites. In recent months, I’ve often had to restrain myself from writing about one of the countless rumors circulating about the highly anticipated game. But when I started out with this blog, I made the promise to myself not to share fake or unconfirmed news. Fortunately, there is Rockstar Games, who finally gave us confirmation.
GRAND THEFT AUTO VI’S FIRST TRAILER RELEASES IN DECEMBER!!! Right. That’s out of my system. I started to doubt whether we would ever see the day. Maybe I could play GTA VI in the retirement home later on. But no, there is light at the end of the tunnel. We can now say with certainty that the game will released in 2024 or 2025 at the latest.
So far, the only reliable news about the game came from leaks. These confirmed that we will have 2 protagonists; a man and a woman, and that the game will take place in a modern version of Vice City. The leaks also showed a similar system to that of Red Dead Redemption 2, where you can greet or antagonize NPCs (maybe we can even catch them off guard again with that wonderful, fatal greet, greet, antagonize combination).
Further rumors revealed that there would be dynamic hair growth, and that the characters would even age as the game progresses. Anyway, now I’m still discussing rumors. I’m sorry, I could not help myself. But otherwise it would be such a short article, right?

Back to reality. None other than Sam Houser himself (co-founder and president of Rockstar Games), announced today in a Tweet (or is it a Xeet now?) that the first trailer will be shown in December. With that in mind, we can likely prepare for a release around late 2024. I’m mentally preparing myself for early 2025 though. That way, the long wait, because the last stretch is always the hardest, can only turn out to be a pleasant surprise.
